The Intrepid 5x7 has all the features you would expect from a traditional 5x7 camera but at a fraction of the cost and weighing only 1.4kg (3.2Ib).Please note: Lens, lens boards and fresnel screen not included. FeaturesThe front standard has a full range of independently controlled rise/fall, tilt, shift and swing movements and the rear standard has a wide range of tilt both ways. A big new addition to the camera is guides on the front and notches on the base to give you complete accuracy when zeroing. It also has click stops built into the front standard controls.Whilst being lightweight the camera is incredibly sturdy and secure when set up and locked down. The aluminium base and linear focus ensure the camera remains stable even in harsh conditions or with heavier lenses. The focusing is rear-controlled as with all Intrepid Cameras, making it quick to use when under a dark cloth, while the linear guides allow for pin-sharp focusing adjustments.Just like the latest Intrepid 8x10 camera, the rear standard is held by strong magnets and reinforced by lockable sliding clips. To remove the back you simply slide the clips up and once in the orientation you want, landscape or portrait, slide the clips down to lock.The ground glass is super bright with a half-inch grid and we have an additional fresnel that can be fitted, particularly useful with wide-angle lenses.The camera is compatible with all standard copal shutter style 5x7 lenses from 120mm-360mm. When not in use the camera can be folded flat making it really easy to transport.
