A dendritic agate from India with fine black mineral figures branching across a pale translucent ground like bare winter trees against snow. The dendrites form when mineral-rich so lution seeps into tiny cracks and crystallizes outward, so the resemblance to plant growth is pure coincidence, and it is remarkable every single time. At this size you get the full sweep of the pattern instead of a fragment of it, and the pattern is unique to this piece. Dendritic agate is a stone of growth, renewal and patience. This specimen measures approximately 8 in wide. Show more
