In this module, we will define artificial intelligence, the different terms, and technologies available within AI, and discuss some of the constraints and limitations to those technologies. Objectives: What are the different terms that fall under Artificial Intelligence, and what do they mean to me? How should we define “intelligence”? What technology is available with AI? Module 2: Machines that learn How do machines make these fast, accurate, consistent decisions? Objectives: What is machine learning? How can these technologies benefit an organization? Best practices associated with machine learning How can you tell if a machine-learning model is effective? Module 3: Image recognition Image recognition powers some of the most exciting (self-driving cars) and controversial (face recognition) uses of AI. In this module, we will see how neural networks can learn to classify complex images. Objectives: What are neural networks, and how do they differ from machine learning? How can these technologies benefit an organization? What happens when we teach a neural network how to recognize images? Module 4: Chatbots and Generative AI In this module, we will define Generative AI, the different applications within Generative AI, and discuss what Generative AI can do for a business now, and what can be expected down the road. Module 5: Protecting AI Systems In this module, we discuss the dangers of AI and how to keep yourself, and your organization, safe while using these tools. Module 7: The future of AI In this module, we sketch various AI-fueled scenarios and consider how likely they are to come to fruition.
