In this workshop participants will be introduced to the science, magic, and beauty of natural dyeing. Sue will share with participants which plants and kitchen waste can be used fo r dyeing, how to effectively mordant fabric and the technique of bundle dyeing. Sue will have a collection of flowers from her garden and kitchen waste for participants to use to create their own unique silk scarf reflecting the beauty of nature. While scarves are steaming watercolour paper and brushes will be used to experiment with the alchemy of botanical dyeing. Show more
