Oxion Inverso Trinocular Inverted Materials Science Microscope The Oxion Inverso Trinocular Inverted Materials Science Microscope is purpose-built for the inspection of large, heavy, and opaque samples that are difficult to examine with upright microscopes. Its inverted configuration makes it ideal for materials science, metallurgical analysis, and industrial quality control involving metals, plastics, wood, and composite materials. This system is equipped with HWF plan 10×/22 mm eyepieces (Ø 30 mm tube) and a trinocular head with 45° inclined tubes. The head allows the tubes to be positioned in either upper or lower configurations, providing flexibility for ergonomic viewing and camera integration. Interpupillary distance is adjustable from 54–75 mm, with diopter adjustment on the left eyepiece for precise user calibration. A reversed quintuple revolving nosepiece on ball bearings supports a versatile objective set designed for long working distance inspection. The microscope includes plan 5×, 10×, and 20× LWD IOS objectives for routine inspection, complemented by plan semi-apochromatic 50× and 100× LWD IOS objectives for higher-resolution analysis. All optics are infinity-corrected, anti-fungus treated, and anti-reflection coated to ensure maximum light throughput and long-term optical stability. Sample handling is optimized by a large 250 × 230 mm stage, fitted with a coaxial 120 × 78 mm mechanical X–Y stage. Metallic stage inserts with precision holes allow stable positioning of bulky or irregular samples, making the Oxion Inverso particularly suitable for industrial and production environments. Illumination is provided by a 50 W halogen Köhler transmitted-light system with adjustable intensity and an internal 90–240 V power supply (CE). An Abbe condenser with iris and field diaphragms ensures even illumination and optimal contrast. The microscope is supplied with polarization accessories, including a polarization filter and a 360° rotatable analyzer, as well as blue and green filters for contrast enhancement. Built for demanding applications, the Oxion Inverso combines precise focusing mechanics, durable construction, and a 10-year warranty, making it a reliable long-term solution for materials science and metallurgical inspection.
