This avant-garde red blend from Sonoma County presents opaque purple-black color and a rebellious nose of boysenberry, incense, and crushed pepper flakes. The anarchic palate mixes black plum, cocoa nibs, and a striking iron oxide note that scored 92 points. A mix of carbonic and whole-cluster fermentation in concrete eggs yields vibrant freshness at 13.8% alcohol. The finish pulses with white pepper. Pair with Korean short ribs or mole poblano to match its experimental spirit. Best enjoyed young to appreciate its primary fruit energy. Show more
