Carbon dioxide passing through the porous ring is readily dissolved into aquarium water in the form of tiny bubbles because of the increased surface area. The IO diffuser optimises the amount of CO2 entering the aquarium for the most efficient absorption and less CO2 waste.Depending on your IO diffuser size (and the tank size) you can choose between two options: Small for tanks below 40G Large for tanks above 40G
