IONIC WWII British & Commonwealth Uniforms Set This 12-color set contains all the paints needed to accurately depict the iconic British and Commonwealth WWII uniform, known as “Battledress” or “No. 5 Uniform.”The classic British uniform was made from cotton twill, woven with a mix of brown and green fibers, resulting in a greenish-brown or khaki tone that could vary—appearing lighter, darker, more green, or more brown depending on the fabric batch. To cover this range, the Ionic set includes three paints for the khaki base: a dark brown that can also be used for shading, and two distinct khaki tones—one with a greener hue and one more brown.The webbing was also khaki but treated with a green waterproofing paste, resulting in a wide variety of tones.
