One Ipswich lace pendant handmade in black silk bobbin lace, mounted on glass with a colored background in a metallic pendant setting.Pendant is ~2 inches high and 1 inch wide. Comes with a ~28 inch faux suede cord with lobster closure.This particular item is Ipswich lace #2 reproduced from the Alexander Hamilton papers samples of Ipswich lace. One of a kind, each lace is handmade and mounted differently.This listing is for one of the available samples; the array of several is shown to illustrate the range of settings and colors. The backing colors are being selected to mirror 18th century fabric of the time, as illustrated in the photo with multiple samples. The last sample is reproduction fabric from Colonial Williamsburg, modeled on actual extant 18th century fabric examples.
