"A juvenile deepwater Football Octopus (Ocythoe tuberculate) makes a rare visit to the surface waters near the Poor Knights Islands off Northeastern New Zealand. Football Octopus are mainly found in the northern hemisphere in warmer areas of the Mediterranean and Atlantic. They are rare in the southern hemisphere and are usually found in waters between 100 and 200m depth.
