Inspired by the Japanese artist Hokusai, this hat was created as an art piece for an exhibition in 2016. The leaves are made with handpainted sinamay, the irises are created with h andpainted silk and frayed sinamay. A little grasshopper silk origami is peaking through the greens. An incredible creation, a special addition to an art and hat lover collector or simply a perfect showstopper for your day at the races. It is secured with a wire headband and a comb, to ensure a comfortable fit on any head size. This is a one-off design.
