This necklace holds a tactile 3-dimensional Iris, painstakingly formed from layers of recycled copper pipe, lovingly hand sawn, textured and polished to create a beautiful statement pendant in honour of the rising spring and the abundance of warmer months yet to come... The second of a small number of pieces made whilst in recovery from an injury to my spine. This period of time has pulled me to slow down, simplify, and refocus on what I love; using my hands to communicate the teachings and beauty of nature and our primal ancestors. With that intention in mind and hands, over the course of another 2 days another of my favourite flowers emerged from the copper. ~ The chain is 24 inches and made from sturdy copper with a lobster clasp.
