(Lee Walker 2024) Miniature Dwarf Bearded, 6.75" (17.0 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Nice maroon colors in a Miniature Dwarf Bearded show off orange yellow beards. Oregon bred. Li mited. This is one of Lee's "blended" crosses, where he crushed pollen from 3 different iris, breaking their structure, then blended them together in an effort to break up structure of the Tall Bearded genes in Standard Dwarf Beardeds, etc. (For more on this process, please contact Lee, for he is much better at explaining it then I!). It is a work in progress but seems to be solidifying the Miniature Dwarf Bearded class. Standards mid red-violet with maroon veining and center line; style arms red center line and tip with gold cream edge; falls maroon red, with red-brown edge and center line; beards orange in throat and middle, yellow with gold tip.
