This ink is handmade in our Dorset studio using natural ingredients to a medieval recipe with a modern twist. Iron Gall ink is the perfect black ink for modern calligraphy. Traditi onally Iron Gall ink erodes nibs quickly due to it's high acidity, our ink has powdered egg shell added to balance the Ph, meaning nibs last much longer.
