This is a distribution release courtesy of Laced Records.ETA Q2 2027 Andrew Hulshult presents his bone-chilling motion picture soundtrack for Iron Lung, Mark 'Markiplier' Fischbach's feature-length directorial debut, on vinyl. With a tracklist carefully curated by Hulshult himself for maximum chills, all music has been mastered for vinyl by Joe Caithness and will be pressed to heavyweight LPs. The set's haunting sleeve artwork is by creature designer and storyboard artist Molly Brown, and starkly highlights the organic, cursed iconography of Iron Lung. A hit at the box office, Iron Lung is a triumph for indie horror filmmaking, having been independently financed, written, produced, and directed by Fischbach, based on David Szymanski's 2022 horror video game of the same name. Hulshult's score is a deeply unsettling tapestry of thrumming synth pads, cavernous reverb, and nerve-shredding percussion - sometimes a heartbeat ("Asleep at the Wheel"), sometimes a thundering impact ("Fate Welded Shut"). Every so often, the music settles into a beauteous-but-anxious calm; vast ambiences that never truly let the listener rest from the nightmare. Listen at your peril.
