Alcohol percentage: 12.5% Vegan Area: Irroy are based in Reims, but source grapes (like all houses) from all over the Champagne region. Grape variety: 70% Pinot Noir / Pinot Meunie r, 30% Chardonnay, from 30 vineyard plots; matured ‘on the lees’ for two and a half years. Producer: Maison Irroy was founded in 1820 and has been owned by the famous house of Taittinger since 1955. The Bottle Shop rating: This is is in Extra Brut style (maximum 6g of sugar per litre) but doesn’t have the angular austerity of many examples.
