Created as a finer counterpart to Isager Soft, Soft Fine uses a silk core with alpaca and yak formed as a bouclé and brushed to a soft haze. Though constructed differently from Sof t, it delivers a similar plush surface with added depth from the dark yak fiber. Comparable in softness to Silk Mohair but more straightforward to knit when held alone — hence its nickname, “Isager’s cashmere.” The gauge that we’ve listed is what is provided by the manufacturer. However, like all yarns with a halo (fuzzy) effect, this yarn can be knit up in several gauges, and can also be held with another yarn while knit.
