Built around a rigid mechanical frame and an infinity-corrected optical system, the iScope delivers high-contrast, distortion-free imaging of opaque samples such as metals, alloys, coatings, and polished cross-sections. This configuration is equipped with EWF 10×/20 mm eyepieces (30 mm tube) and a trinocular Siedentopf head with 30° inclined tubes, allowing comfortable extended observation and seamless camera integration. Interpupillary distance is adjustable from 48–76 mm, with independent diopter adjustment on both eyepieces to ensure precise viewing for multiple users. The microscope features a revolving quintuple reversed nosepiece mounted on ball bearings for smooth, accurate objective changes. Supplied Plan PLMi IOS objectives (5×/0.12, 10×/0.25, 20×/0.40, and 50×/0.70) provide flat-field, high-resolution imaging optimized for metallurgical reflected-light applications. All optical components are anti-fungus treated and anti-reflection coated to maximize light throughput and long-term reliability. Sample handling is supported by a 150 × 140 mm stage equipped with an integrated 78 × 53 mm mechanical stage. The stage is supplied with both a metal insert and a transparent glass insert, offering flexibility for a wide range of sample sizes and preparation methods. Illumination is provided by a 3 W NeoLED™ Köhler system, delivering uniform, stable brightfield illumination with long service life and consistent color temperature. Reflected illumination includes a 0–90° rotatable polarizer for enhanced contrast and polarized-light examination.
