Nick Potter was born in Chesterfield in 1959, studied Archaeology at Leicester University, and spent years teaching and working in educational publishing before landscape painting took over. Fuelled by repeated visits to Cornwall, Scotland, and the Lake District, he discovered the vibrancy of acrylic inks and developed a style of dramatic wild landscapes that found galleries across the country. He now lives yards from the sea on the Northumberland coast, painting in his garden studio with audio books as a constant backdrop — a soundtrack he says has become as integral to the process as the paint.Island Croft is a limited edition of 100, signed by the artist and presented framed with a certificate of authenticity.
