Frankland Estate is a much coveted family-owned and operated winery based in the picturesque district of the Great Western region of Western Australia. Barry and Judi's vision came to reality in 1988 when they planted their first vineyard, Isolation Ridge. Elizabeth and Hunter are today at the helm of the operations. They were certified organic in 2009 and continue to work sustainably under their environment: not using chemicals as treatments is one of their most significant achievement. The 2021 Isolation Ridge Riesling comes from vines planted in 1988. The vineyards are planted on undulating slopes facing north and east and on ironstone gravel at a relatively high altitude, 256 metres above sea level, allowing the fruits to experience a high diurnal range. These are the perfect conditions to produce wines of great concentration and freshness. The final juice has fermented a part in stainless steel tanks and the remaining in used barrels.
