As the characters in the book illustrate, a holiday allows us time to reflect on our successes and disappointments and return to our everyday lives refreshed. It gives us the courage to try something new without consequences, and to resolve to make a fresh start. Time to rest and recharge batteries is invaluable to maintaining energy levels in our busy lives. A change of scene can also inspire us to see things afresh and generate new ideas to find the inspiration to start a new project or hobby.
