I used three very different types of stencillied kimono silk to make this pillow. The one-color scatter print on raw silk depicts round emblems common in Japanese design. The multi -colored landscape print depicting wisteria and swallows has hand-painted dyes. And the highly complex all-over dot pattern depicts chysanthemums, cherry blossoms, and wave motifs. All the silks come from vintage kimonos that I acquired and deconstructed. The backing for the quilted front panel is linen, and the insert is feather and down. 19" x 19" with invisible zipper closure. Show more
