These momohiki style wrap pants feature only vintage kimono fabrics with stripe patterns. All the fabric panels are half the width of traditional Japanese bolts (and looms). And, a ll the panels overlap each other and are top stitched to reveal selvedges. I created the regular, vertical piecework for these pants without regard for the pants pattern. I then aligned vertical seams down the right leg, but because of the bowed, drop crotch pattern, the piecework seams became slanted on the left leg – creating totally different (and unpredictable) draping on each leg. Pleats, the wrap ties, and a drop crotch make the fit generous and flexible. The size can accommodate waists 31-36" and depends on whether they're worn at the waist or hips. Show more
