I deconstructed three vintage Japanese garments for these momohiki wrap pants – comprised of stenciled, solid, and woven textiles. All the piecework panels are half the width of tr aditional Japanese looms, and the seams of the pants overlap to highlight loom selvedge edges. The repurposed textile panels are arranged in three sections: going from a vertical orientation on the right leg to slanted seams on the left leg. Two large, vintage, hand-sewn patches appear on the left leg, and half of a large mon crest falls on the backside. Pockets are made from a repurposed, modern denim. Generous medium sizing accommodates waists roughly 30 to 34 inches. Show more
