This cute ITH Christmas Tree has 3 pieces that slide together to form a standing tree. When assembled it is approximately 6.75" tall We used stiffened felt for the tree. The star on top is a free standing lace style and is attached to Section 1 of the tree. It is a quick and fun project. For an alternative version of this tree, fuse a pretty Christmas fabric to each piece of the felt with a fusible product like Madeira Applique Magic or Exquisite Fuse N Stick in the same way you would do with an applique design. Then just stitch the design together following the instructions. You can skip the last 3 steps that stitch on the ornaments if your fabric has a pretty print such as the green swirl fabric in one of these photos.
