ITO Nui is a spun silk thread ideal for sewing, quilting and embroidery. This lovely thread be used for both hand work and machine work. The spun silk has a soft sheen. Two plies are twisted for optimal strength to a thickness of 2/60 NM (30 wt). The glossy, slightly pearly texture lends itself beautifully to surface designs like quilting, free motion embroidery, applique, top stitching or outlining. ITO Nui will give strong seams to sewing projects and is a sustainable alternative to polyester thread. We have brought in all 64 colors available. Tips: Ito recommends a spool stand or thread holder so that the yarn can wind vertically from the spool.For machine embroidery Ito recommends a 75/11 embroidery needle.
