It is painted right to the edges - and can be mounted in a float frame where the edges are visible or with a matte border.I often work intuitively and begin with random strokes and gestural mark-making. This also began with lots of graffiti scribbles filling the canvas. It took several painting sessions - I visited it many times - each time adding more paint - leaving a few strokes undisturbed but also scraping into thick impasto layers creating a multitude of textures. The addition of a piece of textured collage and more impasto graffiti strokes are my final additions standing out over an active base.
