Averaging 3-4 cm (1.5") in diameter, these gorgeous fruits showcase a deep red skin, dusted with an elegant bluish bloom. Inside, the semi-freestone flesh ranges from sunny yellow to blushing pink. When properly ripened, the flavour is balanced: sweetly aromatic with that signature Japanese plum perfume, never sour and always satisfying. The flesh is firm yet juicy, making these plums delicious fresh off the tree and good for canning, jams, and pies. Ripening from late August to early September, Ivanovka carries forward Manitoba's proud legacy; developed by Agriculture Canada at the renowned Morden Research Station in 1939, this variety doesn't just survive our climate, it thrives in it.
