It works best in spacious aquariums with open swimming room and compatible peacock and hap tank mates. Origin and Habitat Native Region: Likoma Island, Lake Malawi. Natural Habitat: Intermediate habitat. Physical Characteristics Size: 6-8 inches. Coloration: Mature males develop stronger ivory-headed display coloration; females and juveniles are more muted. Body Shape: Streamlined, laterally compressed hap body suited for open swimming. Behavior and Temperament Temperament: Peaceful to mildly territorial, especially between males. Social Behavior: Best kept with other relatively mild Lake Malawi haps and peacocks in a tank with room to spread out.
