Rare 1931 antique lithographic print on thick matt paper, from the first UK edition, large format publication ‘Fairyland’ by beloved Australian artist Ida Rentoul . A particularly beautiful Art Deco image with fairy upon a waterlily boat. In great condition as shown, a scarcely offered piece. Framed with ornate gilt vintage solid wood frame. Custom double mount behind glass and in excellent condition. 50cm x 50cm frame 20cm x 20cm artwork "Ida Rentoul Outhwaite (1888-1960) is one of Australia’s most famous and admired artists. She rose to fame in the early 1900’s as an illustrator of children’s books, working in watercolour and pen and ink. Her beautiful and exquisitely delicate artworks, which depicted mostly magical creatures, such as elves and fairies, were exhibited throughout Australia, as well as in London and Paris, mainly between 1907 and 1933."
