Comprehensive protection measures against reverse polarity, overvoltage, and overload ensure safe operation of the solar charge controller. The integrated overcharge and deep discharge protection support the longevity of the connected solar battery. Additionally, you can use the USB interface to establish a connection between the solar controller and a PC, allowing you to program user-specific charging processes. The two integrated LEDs indicate the current charging stage, warn of deep discharge, and show the status of the load output. Charging process: Depending on the defined battery type and its final charging voltage, charging takes place in a maximum of three stages. In charging stage 1, charging occurs at maximum current until the corresponding final charging voltage is reached. The device then charges for a fixed period of time at charging stage 1 and then switches to stage 2. Here, the charging current is limited using pulse width modulation (PWM). A user-defined charging profile can also enable charging stage 3. If the discharge lasts for more than 30 minutes, the device returns to charging mode 1.
