The ACE II Basic Plus is equipped with an electrochemical sensor, the same type used in police breathalyzer devices. This sensor enables highly accurate measurements with a tolerance of no more than +/- 0.05 per mille. With these specifications, the ACE II Basic Plus is in no way inferior to police devices. The ACE II Basic Plus is incredibly easy to use, thanks to its single-button operation. It is equally easy to operate for both right- and left-handed users. Switching the device on and off, as well as displaying completed measurements, is all possible with just one button. Thanks to the large and brightly lit display, tests can also be carried out in the dark. TU Vienna tested!!! Measurement accuracy according to the breathalyzer accuracy study conducted by the Vienna University of Technology in October 2015. In this study, 5 measurement reference points (0.00, 0.10, 0.25, 0.40, and 0.60 per mille) were tested in the laboratory with 5 identical devices, with 10 repetitions of each (excluding the manufacturer). In total, the device type was tested 250 times in the laboratory of the Institute of Analytical Chemistry at the Vienna University of Technology, under the direction of Professor Dr. Erwin Rosenberg.
