To achieve this designation, the whiskey must hail from a single distillery and a single distilling season, be aged in a bonded warehouse for a minimum of four years, and be bottled at no less than 100 proof - 50% ABV. Bonded Rye, crafted with a mashbill comprising 70% rye, 18% corn, and 12% malted barley, undergoes charcoal filtration post-distillation and is aged in new American oak casks, similar to the classic No. 7. For those who savour a robust, spicy flavour in their cocktails, this is a perfect choice. On the nose, it offers an enticing mix of sweet soft fruits interwoven with cinnamon, ginger, clove, and vanilla. The palate is bold and spicy, balanced by sweeter notes of toffee, dried fruit, and chocolate. The finish reveals lingering black pepper and chilli heat with a touch of caramel.
