Salvia azurea Western Iowa source Delicate blues dance over the summer prairie. Just when the June flower show has gone to seed, blue pitcher sage brings a burst of color among the late-summer yellows. Perennial plants grow well in dry to moist soil conditions, about 3 or 5 feet tall. As with other mints, pitcher sage is excellent for pollinators.
