Please note this is a digital product. You are buying the pattern to make a pumpkin. It is not a physical product. Want to make a Jack all of your own, have a go with this crochet pattern! This is a simple pattern for Jack the Pumpkin. He is a quick make and requires super chunky yarn and a bit of aran. Perfect for using any scraps. I used 20g of Yarnsmiths Create Super Chunky and 2g of Stylecraft Special Aran. Jack the Pumpkin stands 5cm (2”) tall and is 9cm (3.5”) at the widest part. Yarn substitutions: I have made many of these now, and have mostly been using Yarnsmiths Create Super Chunky but this is only available online from Wool Warehouse. I have found Sirdar Hayfield Bonus Super Chunky to be a great substitute if you prefer to shop offline. You will need: Yarn A: 20g of Yarnsmiths Create Super Chunky in 6120 Burnt Orange (Super Chunky, 100g, 80m) Yarn B: 2g of Stylecraft Special Aran in 1116 Green (Aran, 100g, 196m) or any scraps of aran yarn. 8mm (L-11) Hook 5mm (H-8) Hook Darning needle Stitch marker Toy stuffing – approx. 17g Safety toy eyes – I have used 12mm black eyes. (Optional) Tension: Not important for this item, although if you are a loose crocheter you may benefit from going down a hook size so finished item does not show the stuffing. After round 3 of the body the project measures 9cm (3.5”) in diameter. Stitches used: ch = Chain dc = Double crochet hdc = Half double crochet sc = Single crochet sctog = Single crochet 2 stitches together (decrease stitch) slst = Slip Stitch sm = Stitch marker st(s) = Stitch(es) Written in US terms. The body is worked in a spiral. The leaf is worked in rows. Photo tutorials for making the dents in the pumpkin and for the leaf are included at the end of this pattern.
