The Locking Elliptical D Bit combines a double-jointed elliptical mouthpiece with a locking mechanism to provide stability and even pressure distribution. The fixed D-ring design ensures lateral stability, making this bit ideal for horses that need steady contact and balanced communication. Key Features of the Locking Elliptical Mouthpiece: Limited Movement: The locking mechanism restricts the degree to which the bit can collapse, preventing it from forming a sharp angle that could cause discomfort. This provides a more stable and predictable communication with the horse’s mouth. Even Pressure Distribution: By limiting excessive movement, locking bits distribute pressure more evenly across the tongue and bars. This reduces the likelihood of pinching or causing discomfort. Enhanced Communication: The consistent action of a locking bit allows for clearer signals from the rider. This facilitates communication encouraging a more responsive horse. D-Ring Design Features: Lateral Stability: The fixed D-shaped rings provide lateral stability, preventing the bit from sliding through the horse’s mouth and offering more precise control during turns. Direct Communication: The D-Ring allows for a more stable and direct connection between the rider's hands and the horse’s mouth, making it suitable for horses that need clearer guidance and more consistent contact. Gentle Guidance: While providing stability, the D-Ring design ensures smooth and gentle communication between horse and rider, encouraging responsiveness without discomfort.
