So smooooth. NYC's Arcane imprint taps L.A.'s Jamma Dee for their second release and it's been steady killing us softly (and we love it). Taking cues from late 80's/early 90's R&B and New Jack Swing, Jamma Dee Vol. 1 takes the funk to a whole new level of sexy sophistication. From the suave "I Can Do Right" that recalls boogie crooners like Surface or the streamy piano solos on "Cloudy Night," to the swingin' beats of "Got It Goin' On" and "L.U.V. Cra-Zee" that give Teddy Riley a nod, this EP has all the right vibes to get you in the mood. Also includes the slowed down funk of "Your Love" and the jazzy "Gud Ol Luv."
