This kit is a direct aftermarket replacement for the following: Brand Part Number Notes Wesbar 3058 / 403050 Square submersible curbside combination — over 80" trailers Wesbar 3008 / 403000 Square submersible driver side with license plate — over 80" trailers Peterson M452 / M452A 4" square submersible curbside combination — over 80" trailers Peterson M452L 4" square submersible driver side with license plate — over 80" trailers Optronics ST4RB / STL4RB Square incandescent curbside and driver side — over 80" trailers Optronics STL44RB / STL44LB Square LED curbside and driver side — over 80" trailers Uni-Bond TL5450LH / TL5450RH Square LED combination driver and curbside — over 80" trailers Not sure if this kit replaces yours? The tail lights fit any trailer using a 4-inch square housing with 2-bolt mount on 2" centers. Measure your existing light footprint and stud spacing to confirm before ordering. Trailer Compatibility — Boat & PWC Applications The J-20445-KCD is the complete replacement lighting solution for wide-body boat and PWC trailers — providing all DOT-required lighting functions in a single kit. If your trailer is over 80 inches wide and uses 4-inch square tail lights, this kit has everything you need. Confirmed Compatible Trailer Brands Trailer Brand Application Karavan Boat, PWC / jet ski, and watercraft trailers over 80" wide using 4" square tail light mount. ShoreLand'r Boat and PWC trailers using 4" square submersible combination lights — confirmed compatible with 2-bolt 2" center mount. Magic Tilt Wide-body bunk and V-bunk boat trailers using square combination light mount. Continental Trailers Boat trailers using standard 4" square 2-bolt light mount. Road King Boat trailers with 4" square combination light housing — confirmed fit per owner reports. EZ Loader Boat trailers using Wesbar-style 4" square lights (verify stud spacing before ordering). Load Rite Boat trailers using standard 4" square 2-bolt mount (verify stud spacing — some models use alternate spacing). Common Boat & PWC Types The J-20445-KCD is commonly used on trailers hauling: bass boats, pontoon boats, aluminum fishing boats, center console boats, bowriders, ski boats, deck boats, Boston Whaler, Sea Ray, Lund, Tracker, Carolina Skiff, Jon boats, Sea-Doo, Yamaha WaveRunner, Kawasaki Jet Ski, and similar PWC / personal watercraft. Saltwater use: The J-20445's bell-jar sealed housing, stainless mounting hardware, and self-grounding construction make it one of the most durable submersible lighting solutions available for coastal and tidal environments. The kit is a direct upgrade over aging incandescent systems that corrode and fail with regular saltwater exposure. Verify fit before ordering: Confirm your trailer uses a 4-inch square light housing with 2-bolt mount on 2" centers. If your trailer uses an 8" rectangular housing, see the individual J-75 and J-75L lights instead. 💡 Pro Tips The J-20445-KCD installs using the two pre-installed mounting studs on each tail light, spaced 2 inches on center. The included 25-foot wishbone harness runs the full length of your trailer and connects to your tow vehicle's standard 4-pin or 5-wire connector. Both tail lights use a self-grounding design — ground is made through the mounting studs, eliminating the need for a separate ground wire. Typical wiring connections via the included harness: Brown → Tail / running lights Yellow → Left stop / turn signal Green → Right stop / turn signal White → Ground (harness ground to vehicle) Black → License plate light (driver side) The two amber J-5735-SA marker lamps mount on the front corners of the trailer and connect to the brown running light circuit. The license plate bracket mounts to the driver-side tail light housing. Is this a complete kit — do I need to buy anything else?Yes, this is a complete kit. The J-20445-KCD includes both tail lights, two amber marker lamps, a 25-foot wishbone wiring harness, license plate bracket, wire connectors, and all mounting hardware. For most trailer rewiring jobs, this is everything you need. Are the lights truly submersible?Yes. Both the J-20445 and J-20445-L use a gasketed bell-jar sealed housing rated for full water immersion — including repeated dunking at the boat ramp and saltwater exposure. What size trailers is this kit designed for? This kit is specifically designed for trailers over 80 inches wide, which are required by federal law to have rear clearance lights, side marker lights, and a DOT-compliant tail lighting system. The 7-function combination lights satisfy all of these requirements in a single unit per side. Will this replace my existing Peterson or Optronics square lights? In most cases, yes — as long as your current lights use a 4-inch square housing with 2-bolt / 2" center mount. Measure your existing light footprint and stud spacing to confirm before ordering. What's the difference between this and the J-75 / J-75L lights? The J-20445 series uses a 4-inch square bell-jar housing, while the J-75 / J-75L use an 8-inch rectangular housing. Both are submersible over-80" trailer lights — the difference is the mount style and housing shape. Check your existing lights to determine which fits your trailer. Is this kit DOT legal?Yes. All lights in the J-20445-KCD are DOT and SAE approved, meeting FMVSS-108 requirements for stop, turn, tail, clearance, marker, and license plate illumination. Questions?
