In 1983, Janet Manyara arrived in Isiolo, seeking a place where she could raise her children and build a life for her family. At the time, she was a mother to seven children, each depending on her strength and determination to provide for them. Life in Isiolo was not without its hardships, but Janets resolve to keep her family together and safe carried her through the challenges. Later, after remarrying, she was blessed with another child. Tragically, this son was born with a disability and passed away at a young age. The loss was a heavy burden for her to bear, marking one of the most difficult seasons of her life. Even so, she continued to push forward, drawing on her faith and her deep love for her children to keep going. Janet’s life has always been defined by resilience. Before the late Mama Ibado passed away, Janet had already joined the Mama Ibado Charity program, becoming one of the early beneficiaries of food assistance. The regular supply of essential food items lifted a great weight off her shoulders, allowing her to focus on other needs for her family. The charity’s support extended beyond food. Her son received help with school fees, ensuring he could continue his education despite the family’s financial constraints. In addition, her daughter benefited from the sanitary towel initiative run by Mama Ibado Charity, gaining access to sanitary pads — a seemingly small provision that made a significant difference in her daughter’s confidence, dignity, and school attendance.Through the years, the assistance from Mama Ibado Charity has not only alleviated Janet’s immediate needs but has also restored her hope. She speaks with deep gratitude about the organization, remembering how it stood with her through some of her toughest moments. To her, the charity has been more than just a source of aid — it has been a pillar of stability and compassion in her life.
