It is not a conventional sewing machine and does not sew straight stitches, zigzags, buttonholes or decorative sewing-machine patterns. It is not an overlocker and does not trim fabric with cutting knives. An overlocker is still required for trimming and wrapping raw garment edges. The CoverPro 3000 is manually threaded. It does not have air threading or automatic tension. Thread tension is manually controlled through five lay-in tension dials. Fine Mode assists with lightweight fabrics but does not replace correct threading, needles, thread and test sewing. It is a domestic professional-style machine intended for garment making and creative sewing rather than continuous industrial production.
