We use a variety of cherry bark, including marbled bark that retains the natural appearance of mountain cherry bark, and polished plain bark. The idea behind this, compared to a standard Japanese tea spoon, is to bring nature a little closer to your tea ceremony. The textured surface makes you immediately appreciate the material, and feel more grounded.
