Not to be confused with the classic Jasmolactone (found in traces in nature in Osmanthus absolute), Jasminlactone (or Creamy Lactone) is essential for realistic replicas of the same. It has prominent peach and apricot skin notes with a celery-like or vegetable undertone. It provides the heavy, waxy petal weight found in natural Tuberose and Jasmine absolutes. It feels thicker and more authentic to the natural oil. Jasminlactone occurs naturally in high abundance in Jasmine grandiflorum and Jasmine sambac, as well as Tuberose, Gardenia, and Peach. It is the key to the waxy scent of real jasmine flowers. It's a costly material, and ours (the highest quality on the market) is manufactured by Firmenich, but a little goes a long way.
