The Hedione® family contains a number of products that are valued for different reasons. Classic Hedione (including high cis and Paradisone) represents the "dihydro" part of the family containing 35%, 70% and 90% Methyl Cis Dihydrojasmonate respectively. More favoured, but significantly more expensive, is Methyl Jasmonate. Methyl Jasmonate occurs naturally in Jasmine flowers but exhibits more of a magnolia tonality. Zeon, a Japanese company, produces the finest form of Methyl Jasmonate on the market and they call it Jasmoneige™ — this product. Firmenich previously made it also under the trade name Splendione® but they have discontinued it to reduce public availability of products that can complete against its captive Paradisone®. Jasmoneige has a light floral scent which is extremely beautiful. But despite its delicate odour, it has a great power and considerably less is needed to get a similar effect to Hedione. Jasmoneige blends perfectly with Hedione®, Hedione® High Cis and our own best selling base Paradise Molecule®.
