Email Jason Jason studied music & film at Indiana University. During his time there he worked as a recording studio engineer, a student radio DJ, ran live sound at local venues, and performed in a number of bands. After school he drove west to pursue a career in film & television. For the next 20 years he worked as a camera operator and Director of Photography on countless tv shows and movies. When the pandemic hit, he also welcomed his first child into the world and chose to put his career on hold to be a full-time dad. As a long-time customer of Echo Audio he jumped at the opportunity to get back in the music business & joined the team last year. “High-end audio always seemed so unattainable, but it’s not. Now I’m able to help others like me achieve that goal.” “Music has always played a pivotal role in my life. Even when I wasn’t making it, I was consuming it. From collecting tapes & CDs to vinyl & guitars. Before kids, I was going to concerts every other week, or so. The Beatles will always be my #1 and Radiohead #2. Listing to these bands on a system like the ones we sell at Definitive changed the way I thought music could sound like. One of my favorite things about working here is to put someone in front of a great system and have them listen to a song they’ve heard a million times.
