Product Description: Qty: 1 bare root Java Fern is a beautiful addition to any freshwater, planted aquarium. Growing to a height of nearly 8 inches tall, with creeping, green rhizomes, Java Ferns are well suited for not only planted aquariums, but also those that contain cichlids and other large South American fish. Java Ferns will do well if planted in moderate light as well as in a shaded area. It is amphibious, meaning that it will grow either partially or fully submersed. Provide at least 2 watts per gallon of light supplied by full-spectrum (5000-7000K) bulbs. Java Ferns will thrive in an aquarium with alkalinity of 3-8 dKH and a pH of 6.0 to 7.5. They will propagate by adventitious plants on leaves & roots, and rhizome division may also be seen. Java Fern looks great planted singly, or in groups if there is enough room in the aquarium. Please make sure you are at home the day of the arrival or arrange for someone to be there to receive the plants/shrimp and that they know how to properly care for the plants/shrimp. In the rare event livestock shows up dead, we must be notified within 2 hours of delivery. Keep in mind these plants/livestock just took the journey of their lifetime in a dark box for 2-4 days so they will take time to recover and to be at their best again. Please take clear photos of the dead plant/livestock and send it to us within 2 hours of receiving the item and send the clear photos to ebay once the item is validated by us, we will send a replacement or refund. Failure to comply with one or more of these policies will mean we can no longer cover you. We guarantee live arrival of all livestock. This means we assure that livestock will show up alive. We do not guarantee your success in keeping the livestock alive/healthy. Lots of outside factors that we cannot control go into the success or failure of keeping livestock healthy. We are here to help but are not liable after you have received the livestock alive. Do your plants have snails? We try not to have snails/pests, but it happens, we remove any visible imperfections before shipment however to be 100% certain we suggest that you either do a 1:20 ratio bleach to water dip and/or wash the plants.
