Microhyla achatina also known as the Asian Narrow mouth from is small species of frog from South East Asia. Average size is between 4 and 6 cm. It inhabits marshy habitat and is of ten found in rice paddies. Call is similar to the sound of crickets. The Javan chorus frog is primarily insectivorous, with a strong preference towards small arthropods. It employs a sit-and-wait strategy, capturing its nourishment like spiders, ants or beetles when they approach close enough.
