Impressive sophomore release from relative newcomer Jay Daniel. Karmatic Equations comes courtesy of Kyle Hall's Wild Oats imprint (while his first 12" was on Theo's Sound Signatur e label), and it's more proof that Jay is a born natural from the D. Check the ill drum programming pn "Royal Dillema" that stays on point with that signature Detroit swing, while synth layers keep you hooked on the track. "Royal Insanity" turns up the intensity, while "Change 4 Me" flexes hypnotic rhythms for days. Also check the tough pounding of "Exit #1" and you'll hear why this dude is already getting props as one of the best from Detroit.
