Blending elements of nu jazz, lofi hip-hop, trip-hop and classic soul edits, this 7 inch vinyl release continues the label’s signature approach to warm, groove-led musical storytelling. Built for sunset sessions, intimate dancefloors and poolside moments, Soul 05 carries a relaxed yet deeply musical energy throughout. The A-side, “Favourite”, unfolds with soft fusion-inspired rhythms, warm basslines and breezy guitar textures that drift effortlessly across the mix. Its laid-back structure and organic instrumentation make it ideal for golden-hour listening and Balearic DJ sets. On the B-side, “Love Me” explores a deeper, more introspective mood, layering hazy soul-jazz textures with subtle low-end pressure and atmospheric flourishes. The result is a refined, emotionally rich groove that sits comfortably between nu jazz and downtempo club aesthetics, offering a more hypnotic counterpart to the A-side’s sunlit feel. Across both tracks, Jazz N Palms continue to refine their signature sound—balancing relaxed, poolside energy with tasteful arrangement and subtle dancefloor functionality. The result is a record that feels equally at home in a DJ bag, a café playlist or a sunset terrace session. Essential listening for fans of Balearic edits, nu jazz vinyl, lofi soul and chilled downtempo grooves, this release is another strong addition to the growing Jazz N Palms catalogue.
