Its natural grey hue complements a variety of aquatic environments, providing a neutral backdrop that allows plants and fish to display their full, natural coloring. Key Features: Fine, Uncolored Sandy Soil: This substrate is composed of fine, uncolored sandy soil, making it suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums, as well as aqua-terrariums. Promotes Vigorous Plant Growth: Its fine granulation and density prevent the seeping in of sludge and other waste materials, supporting healthy root development and promoting vigorous plant growth. Gentle on Sensitive Barbels: The fine, round-shaped natural sand is gentle on the sensitive barbels of bottom-dwelling fish, such as armored catfish and loaches, reducing the risk of injury. Safe for Aquatic Life: This substrate does not release unwanted pollutants into the water, ensuring a safe environment for fish, invertebrates, and plants. Usage Instructions: Rinse Before Use: Thoroughly rinse the substrate with tap water to remove any abrasion caused during transit. Layering: Spread the substrate over a nutrient substrate (such as JBL AquaBasis) to promote plant growth. For vigorous root development, a layer of approximately 6–8 cm is recommended.
