JBL Symec Filter Floss is a fine filter wool ideal for providing excellent mechanical filtration in suitable internal and external aquarium filters. Quick and easy to use, Symec Filter Floss is safe for all aquarium inhabitants thanks to its residue-free, fully synthetic composition. Filter Wool should be used as the final method of filtration to polish the water in external filters so that it does not clog too quickly. Only in multi-chamber biofilters can filter floss be used as the first filter media given its quick visibility and easy ability to be changed in a few minutes. Symec Filter Floss should be removed when the flow rate decreases from the filter output. Filter Floss can not simply be washed out and should always be replaced during filter maintenance and cleaning.
